Margaret Lachowsky has been the Director of Mater Dei Child Care Center since October 2011. She has over 13 years experience as a Director of Children’s educational facilities. Margaret has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, FHSU, Hays, KS, has a Certification level of K-9; Minor in Early Childhood and 30 Postgraduate hours at 6 Kansas Universities. “Parenting is the hardest job on this planet and I can totally relate to working parents. I am happy to be here at Mater Dei. Going forward, I’d like to fill the center with healthy, happy children and be a part of their growth. Preschool Lead Teacher
She is a preschool lead teacher for the 3-4 years old classroom. She graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has 15 years experience teaching preschool. She has 3 grown children and is a grandmother. She is happy to teach here at Mater Dei.
Assistant Lead Teacher
Anna Singer is an assistant lead teacher. She is a junior at Hayden High School. She will finish her child care certification from Washburn Tech in May. We welcome her to MD.
Lead Teacher for Toddler 2 Classroom
My name is Chelsei Snoe and I enjoy working with the children and staff at Mater Dei.
Jacey Creech has joined our center as an assistant teacher until she graduates from Washburn Tech’s child care program in May. Then she’ll be a lead teacher and will work full time as our preschool float/substitute. She is also graduating from high school in Silver Lake in May.
Young Toddler Lead Teacher
She is a Young Toddler Lead Teacher. She is from Jordan where she taught Kindergarten for 5 years. She and her husband have 4 children. She is very happy to work with us at Mater Dei.
We welcome Melissa Credeur. She is finishing her child care program at Washburn Tech in May. After graduation, she will work full time. Meanwhile, she is assisting us in preschool. If you have not met her, please stop and introduce yourself.

Marty Gomez graduated from Topeka High School and has worked with children of all ages over the past 35 years. Miss Marty’s work history includes: Six years at the Holy Name/Mater Dei Preschool, the Salvation Army as the School Age Director, Home School Liaison for the Scott Magnet School (Topeka 501) for a Home School Computer Program, After School Site Coordinator for the YMCA, and returned to Holy Name/Mater Dei in 2011 to teach the class of 3 year olds. “Here at Mater Dei, I hope to keep the children wanting to learn. Toddler Lead Teacher
Abeer Sabbarini is our new Toddler Lead Teacher in toddlers and preschool. She and her husband moved here from Minnesota with their 5 children years ago. She has experience in child care from the Even Start program in Bloomington.
Assistant Lead Teacher
Sibal Sabbarini is an assistant lead teacher at the center. She will be the summer camp assistant during the summer with the school aged children. She’s a junior at Washburn Rural High. Her mother is Abeer Sabbarini, toddler lead teacher. We welcome her to Mater Dei.
